“ I was really surprised by the intensity – what a fantastic workout in less than half an hour! The combination of Kettlebells and Power Plate is awesome!”

Mark Griffin, alias Gladiator, Trojan

“ I’ve been really enjoying my Power Plate sessions for an overall toning experience but wanted a bit more focus on my arms and legs. Someone suggested Kettlebells on the Plate with Luke so I took the plunge and booked a Block of 10 sessions. I found that with his direction they hit the spot targeting my arms and legs. I’m amazed at my improved strength plus it has given my half marathon training a real boost. I initially intended to just do 10 sessions but because I’m loving the extra challenge I bought a Block of 20!”

A Bit of Kettlebell History

Regardless of whether the exact origin of kettlebells was in Scotland, Greece or Russia, the history of kettlebells, as a training tool, dates back over 100 years when they started being used as a form of weight training by strongmen, weightlifters and wrestlers in Russia. Later it became a competitive sport in the late 1940's and has progressed from there.

In recent times, various institutions and top sports-scientists have conducted a wide range of studies. The general conclusion is that the kettlebell is the single most effective tool for developing strength and endurance as well as for functional-based training. Is it any wonder that the kettlebell is now used by the US and Russian Military and Special forces, Australian SAS, police departments, top Olympic athletes and professional sporting teams, as the training tool of choice for producing unparalleled results?
