"I lost my right leg, below knee, in a car accident in October 2003 and have worn a prosthetic limb for the past 8 years. To cut a long story short, I came across STUDIO EH1 in February 2011 and signed up. I very quickly noticed improvements. I seemed to be able to weight bear more easily through my prosthesis whilst on the Plate, so my right leg began to strengthen immediately and my balance improved as a result. I am pleased to say that it is not just my walking that has improved. I am delighted with my toned arms and I have enjoyed wearing sleeveless and halter neck tops this past summer. Siobhan"Don't do Power Plate! I mean, it could be part of a plan to lose weight like me (I have shed 4 stone) but you will need those extra layers if we have another cold winter. Yes, you may be able to run faster and farther, but you will just keep setting yourself bigger challenges (like the tortuous marathon I now have planned). And the same goes for cycling too. And then both together for duathlon. Oh, yes, and swimming as well. It's just one big event after another - there is no respite. Yes, you will get stronger, but then the trainers will just get more imaginative with tougher exercises for you.

You see, it will never get any easier - there is always something bigger to aim for. So, I say "don't do it!" Well I would wouldn't I? If everyone starts doing Power Plate then it will be harder for me to book my time at the studio, and I really don't want that.

Siobhan'I have never enjoyed any type of exercise and have always struggled to stick to something for any length of time - until Power Plates! I decided to try it as a 3 month burst before getting married to tone up and after the trial session I signed up immediately and have now being going 3 times a week for well over a year. Not only have I got a firmer bum, tum and toned arms but also met a great bunch of people.

 

I enjoy the fact that you are in a small group of people so the trainers always push you to do your best. I would definitely recommend Power Plate to anyone...

So when I started training at STUDIO EH1, I was amazed at how quickly I saw results. Over the following months I started to feel stronger than I ever had before, running felt easier and I had more power in my golf swing. Someone suggested Kettlebells on the Plate with Luke so I took the plunge and booked a Block of 10 sessions. I found that with his direction they hit the spot targeting my arms and legs. I’m amazed at my improved strength plus it has given my half marathon training a real boost. I have had no back problems since I started and that must be down to the improved core strength. The only down side is that I have had to get rid of every suit that I had in the wardrobe as I have gone from a 38” waist to somewhere 36” and even 34“ for some of my casual trousers.
