Peter Nicol MBE - former world No.1 squash championPeter Nicol, former world No.1 squash champion. Ranked No.1 in the world for 60 months with an unbroken 12 years amongst the top ten - celebrated for his character both on and off the court, Peter played his last game as a professional at the World Open in Cairo in September 2006.

 

Peter formed The Lifestyle Institute based on his passion and belief in Power Plate® training; he continues to use the Power Plate® as his sole form of training which has not only maintained his level of strength and conditioning, but also, and more importantly, his body's health post professional sport career.

Frank Hadden was educated at the High School of Dundee, Strathclyde University and Carnegie School of PE in Leeds. He taught PE at Guiseley School, West Yorkshire and was head of PE and Director of Rugby at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh from 1983-2000 (turning Merchiston into Scotland’s top rugby school). During his time at Merchiston he also coached Scotland under-16, under-18 and under-19 from 1994 to 2000.

 

He coached club sevens at Dundee HSFP, was assistant coach at the Caledonia Reds from 1997 to 1998 and during his time at Edinburgh Rugby, piloted the team to the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup - the first Scottish team to reach that stage. During his first involvement in the RBS 6 Nations Championship, Frank coached Scotland to victories over France, England and Italy and secured Scotland third place in the Championship, their highest finish since the competition extended to Six Nations in 2000. Frank was appointed Scotland Head Coach in September 2005.

I also thought it would be easy, being a regular gym user. Wrong! I woke up the next morning after my session in agony – it was as if it was the first time I’d ever exercised! Since then I’ve been training twice a week. While I do cardio in the gym, I’m just not motivated enough to do the toning exercises.
