The way the stereo channels are wired, if you plug one jack into the left socket, it will be internally routed to both left and right outputs. The Xenyx preamps are much better than we expected, the noise floor is not studio grade but they are very acceptable for live use.
Yes, it has a phantom button and it will, sort of, provide power - at less than half of the typical voltage needed.I didn't recognize the opamps in use, but after listening to it, was quite surprised by its sound quality. XENYX preamps off er a staggering 130 dB of dynamic range, with a bandwidth that extends from below 10 Hz to well above 200 kHz. I have no idea if you have had a look at a picture of this mixer, or read the user manual, but if you had, you will see that channels 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 have the dual numbering system as I have written. Also my second doubt is when I slide up fader 3/4 the stereo source gets into the mix (both left and right) ?This is becoming common--when one of my studio monitors died, a Dynaudio unit, TC Electronic refused to give (or sell) my tech a schematic he could use to fix it. Band lineup: acoustic guitar (mic, direct to Bose or DI into board), Yamaha NP-30 piano (on 6 AAA batteries into mono board channel via TRS cord from piano headphone out), plus 1 to 4 vocal mics for vocals, acoustic drums and/or percussion. The one con is one needs a Phillips Screwdriver to open and close the Battery Compartment :-((( I'm gonna look for a Thumb Screw.
